Belle de Jour Power Planner 2008

Finally, I got hold of my BDJ Planner 2008! I just got it today and it looks so fabulous! The revamped design is a far cry from the last one, and boasts of sleeker dimensions, a more manageable layout, better discount coupons, a bevy of new features and an included string bookmark tethered into the planner! Sporting a longer and narrower design, the BDJ Planner 2008 looks more elegant and executive. The feel of the outer cover is also very polished, unlike the glossy appeal of the former BDJ planner.
The front cover artwork is also very classy! (Forgive the flowery background, that is our sofa.)

The layout of the BDJ Planner 2008 has also been changed but still took on account the tangible factor of time. With portions for "urgent tasks to finish", "important stuff to start", "personal treats to enjoy", "errands to run", and MIT's (Most Important Tasks) in every week, planning your seven-day periods will surely be a breeze! The time slots have also been changed to a more manageable set-up. Days are now segregated as morning, lunch, afternoon and dinner.

New features have also been added such as the goals and dreams planner, menstrual tracker, and expenses tracker to name some. Although some features have been reduced or totally taken out like the mini-address book and the notes, which is now reduced to a mere three pages.
One of the main reasons why so many people love this planner is because of its discount coupons. And true enough, more people will love the coupons offered for 2008! Participating stores/outlets are All Flip Flops/Havaianas, Bayo, BYSI, Celine, Charles and Keith, Chocolate Clothing, Claw Daddy, CMG, Cocorama, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Crustasia, Culte Femme Rustans, Cupcakes by Sonja's, Fiorgelato/Fiorcafe, FlyWear Eyewear, Freeway, Get Happy Accessories, Heaven 'N Eggs, Karimadon, Kashieca, Laybare Waxing Salon, Levi's Girls Store, Luna Rustans, Maybelline, Moschino Fragrances, New Orleans Restaurant, RedCrab Seafood Club, RedBox, Rred Rustans, So! Fab, The Ramp Crossings, Tomato, VNC, and Ace Water Spa!

And of course, the most obvious addition to the planner—the pink bead and heart string bookmark! I think this is very cute since I love simple additions like these. ^_^

I do have a major irk about the new design though. The spiral design would have been a great revision, but it is too small to hold all the planner's pages. The planner looks cramped and there is the tendency for it to be ripped out, if the holder is not very careful with flipping the pages. Turning from page to page requires utmost care since the papers tend to get stuck in the spiral and all. But I think it would loosen a bit when it becomes used all the time. It's just bothering that the most important factor, which is space, has been poorly thought of. But overall, I like the BDJ Power Planner 2008 more than last year's and for any other planner for that matter! Here are more pics!
If you haven't got one yet, you'd better order one through their website http://www.belledejourpowerplanner.com/ or have one reserved at your major bookstores! Supplies run out fast! And really, it does!

DSensational!

Although I'm talking about this a year late, since it was released last year, the Nintendo DS Lite is definitely not going stale! Packed with brighter screens and a more fabulous design, the second generation Nintendo DS is excellent enough to compete with the manly PSP. Though I am not implying that the NDS is geared more on females, the "girly" colors do make it obvious.

There's a pink one too and this I will surely be getting for christmas!

Online Fashion Stops: an avantgarde form of shopping

There is no question about it. Online retailing is gaining popularity. Websites with a whole arsenal of fashion goodies, from clothes to accessories, are mushrooming all over the world wide web. And the most ubiquitous of them are the multiply online stores. Not just one's personal folio on the internet, multiply users have now modified its use—they turned it into an online oasis of fashion galore. These sites offer a wide array of products vis-a-vis tops, jeans, dresses, shoes, bags and accessories in cutesy, elegant, or rocker styles! One can just browse on the albums which have pictures of their products offered, find something they like, and order! The goodies are delivered either by shipping or by meet-ups. Payment is done by G-cash or bank deposits.

Personally though, I think the whole multiply retailing shindig is impractical and tedious. But some of them offer unique and affordable pieces that are definitely hard to find! And for the sake of fashion, you can obviously just shrug those two negatives off.

Here are some certified non-scamming multiply stores that have been recognized by other lifestyle blogs as well:
